ABOUT ED
Yoga student and teacher
I have been teaching yoga since I qualified in October 2011, to adults and young people, and still feel it is the best job in the world. I love seeing my students leave class with a smile on their face and a spring in their step, and feel blessed to be in a position to help people access that profound calmness and strength which remains untouched by whatever challenges we might be experiencing on the physical, mental and emotional levels.
My yoga practice began when I was a sixth form student, and it has taken me to many incredible places. My initial (200-hour) yoga teacher training course took place in the Austrian Alps, and I then spent six months living in the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Paris, where I worked as a full-time member of staff and taught intensively.
I completed the Teenyoga teacher training in 2014 and have since been closely involved with the Teenyoga foundation, travelling with my great friend and mentor Charlotta Martinus and her team to Spain on four occasions between 2015 and 2018 to assist on further teacher training courses. I am currently proud to be working as a tutor on the online Teenyoga training course.
In 2019 my wonderful wife and I travelled to India, where in February I completed my 500-hour training with Swami Govindananda and his team at the Sivananda Yoga Peetham in Kerala.
I am also a secondary school teacher by training, specialising in Spanish and French, and have offered yoga classes to students and staff at the schools I have worked in over the past six years or so.
We moved to Norwich in September 2019, pushed out of London by the air pollution and pulled here by the sense of community, quality of life and the wide Norfolk skies.

HEAR FROM SOME OF MY STUDENTS:
Most people seek happiness in the form of pleasant life circumstances. Sometimes they find it, but unfortunately it never lasts, because circumstances inevitably change…..Yoga, on the other hand, offers a route to happiness that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
